The Power of NO!

I’ve worked for a pretty good company for more than 10 years now.  Do I like my career?  Yes, I do.  But I love writing even more than that(it’s not you boss, it’s me).  This career of mine leaves little time to focus on my own thing.  Somehow I feel thats the goal of every job, to keep us so busy we don’t have time to be an entrepreneur, but that’s a conversation for another day…   So, I’ve decided, “what the hell” I’m going for it, whether it means working my career all day, being a mom and a wife when I get home, and staying up all night writing.   If that’s what I have to do…  Then that’s what I’ll do.  Whey?  Well…   YOLO 😊.

But how?  What does it mean for people like me with demanding careers? Understandably, It means very little sleep and lots of coffee.  But most importantly, it means that I have to be bold with my superiors when they overstep time commitments, in other words, I need to get used to saying NO!

Damn Hard.

Everywhere I look.  Everywhere I eat.  There’s Meat!  Meat, meat, and more meat.  After watching a multitude of shows proclaiming that food is the core of the obesity epidemic, and how a meat-less diet would have a polar opposite effect  on your body and mind.  I couldn’t help but to listen.  The only question now is, should I try a meat-less diet?  Just give a shot…  How hard can that be?  Well, the simple answer based on my personal experience is…. It is Damn Hard.

I had to ask myself…  Why is it so hard? Long story short, I’ve decided this is a scientifically difficult question to answer, and for good reason.  But I’m determined to answer this question on this meat-less journey of mine.
